Hollywood has been quick to do its part to collect funds for earthquake-ravaged Haiti. Actor George Clooney hosted a telethon over the weekend that raised millions for relief efforts in the impoverished Caribbean country.

Now a smaller player in Hollywood, Starline Tours, is joining the effort by posting a message on the side of one of its double-decker tour buses, urging tourists to donate to Haiti via the Red Cross.

Starline Tours President Vahid Sapir donated use of the changeable-message sign to the Red Cross for a month, a service for which he usually charges advertisers about $80,000 per month, Sapir said. The sign went up Monday.

‘It’s our way of giving back,’ said Sapir, whose tour bus operation is one of the oldest and largest in Southern California.
