Strictly speaking, Merriam-Webster defines the word tribute as ‘a gift or service showing respect, gratitude or affection.’ The above video might require a minor tweak to that definition. How about ‘a gift or service showing respect, gratitude and affection, simultaneously.’ That’s better.
Rendered here in painstaking, eyeball-searing accuracy, calling this video a tribute to Maranello’s new hotness is a slight understatement. In fact, it arguably looks better than the official video Ferrari released to the masses last week. Rather surprising considering that one featured, er, real cars and all.
If you were wondering whether Ferrari’s F430 replacement would be featured in Gran Turismo 5 and Forza 3, wonder no more. It seems the proletarians will be able to experience Ferrari’s new mid-engine supercar later this year, albeit via high definition video games. Still, it’s better than nothing.
