A robbery suspect who escaped from Orange County’s largest jail has been captured.

The 26-year-old inmate, Saith Na, was found at 5:30 Saturday morning at an Oceanside motel and was taken into custody without incident, a statement by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said.

Na failed to turn up during the Friday 10 a.m. body count at the Theo Lacy Facility in Orange, said Lt. Jim England. Authorities immediately placed the jail on lockdown, ran a search of the perimeter and searched the entire premises looking for signs of escape.

Na was booked into the county’s jail system Aug. 26 by the Santa Ana Police Department on suspicion of robbery, narcotics, weapons possession and criminal street terrorism.

The Sheriff’s Department said it is investigating how Na escaped.
