Sheriff's detectives investigating shooting death in Maywood

Los Angeles County sheriff’s detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a 51-year-old man in Maywood.

Deputies responding to a report of shots fired in the area found the man on a bus bench in the 3700 block of Slauson Avenue about 8:20 p.m. Thursday with a gunshot wound. The man was unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene. 

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the sheriff’s department homicide bureau at (323) 890-5500.
