"Fractal Tendrils on a Palm Leaf"

Howard Harrelson contributed this close-up photo of a palm leaf that almost looks like something written in cursive.

In the photographer's own words: "The photo was taken using the 'Stills' function on a JVC Everio video camera. The fractal nature of the tendrils gathering on the palm leaves initially drew my attention. When I looked closer I found this composition where the fan-shaped furrows of the leaf contrasted nicely with the mixed-up tendrils."
