Man found shot to death in Harbor Gateway area

A man was found shot to death Friday night at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Vermont Avenue in the Harbor Gateway area, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The man, who was not identified,was found at about 10:11 p.m. and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the department.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact the sheriff's homicide bureau at (323) 890-5500.

A robbery was reported in the same area at 3:04 a.m. Thursday.
