Man found shot to death on horse trail in Altadena

A man was found fatally shot in the head early Saturday along a horse trail in Altadena, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department official said.

The unidentified victim was discovered about 8:14 a.m. in the 3800 block of Canon Boulevard, at the northern end of Altadena, according to sheriff’s Deputy Don Walker.

Homicide detectives remain at the scene, Walker said.

No other information about the victim or the motive for the shooting was immediately available.
