Man fatally shot by LAPD in North Hollywood

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the death of a man who was shot by police in North Hollywood.

The shooting occurred at the intersection of Vineland Avenue and Archwood Street at about 6:50 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Officers had responded to a radio call that reported an assault with a deadly weapon. The suspect died at the scene, police said.

The LAPD’s Force Investigation Division will lead the probe, police said.
