Miguel Ortiz, 33, and Sergio Maldonado were arrested on suspicion of robbery and kidnapping in a scheme that began shortly after midnight when they allegedly approached a man standing in front of a residence, Los Angeles Sheriff’s Capt. Eli Vera said.
The victim told detectives he was standing near 107th Street and Inglewood Avenue shortly after midnight when he was approached by two men on foot.

The men demanded that the victim give them a ride to an undisclosed location. Fearing the suspects were gang members, the victim complied, Vera said.

The two suspects then made the victim make several stops at various locations throughout the Lennox area before ordering him to drive them to the Bare Elegance gentlemen’s club on West Imperial Highway.

Once there, the suspects took some personal property from the victim, released him and entered the club, Vera said. Both men, Vera said, are ‘suspected gang members.’
