Three men were shot in Wilmington early Monday morning in what Los Angeles police suspect was a gang-related incident.

Police responded about 5:30 a.m. to reports of shots fired at a home in the 1400 block of North Marine Avenue, police said.

It appeared that the men were involved in an argument that ended in a drive-by shooting, police said.

One man was struck in the head and was not expected to survive, police said. He was placed on life support until his family could be notified.

A second man was shot in the leg and a third suffered unspecified injuries.

LAPD Sgt. P. Aeschliman told City News Service that investigators believe the incident was gang-related.
