Reader photos: Bicyclist rides through shadowy Whittier
Reader Michael Ares was standing on a bridge overlooking Whittier Boulevard in Whitter on Sunday when he noticed the pattern that shadows of the trunks of palm tree created on the ground.
"I knew they'd make for an interesting shot and I waited for almost a half-hour when a bike rider went through," he said. He took this photo with a Nikon D7000 and 18-5mm kit lens.
