More rain could hit L.A. before warming trend begins
Southland residents will likely have to deal with a little bit more rain this weekend before the skies clear and the region warms up next week, a meteorologist from the National Weather Service said.
Forecasters don’t expect any more steady rain Saturday, but another low-pressure system is moving through the area Sunday, meteorologist Scott Sukup said. With it comes a 40% chance of rain overnight and Sunday morning, and a 20% chance of rain Sunday afternoon.
“It’ll be scattered showers,” he said.
From there, the air will get drier and the temperatures warmer, Sukup said. Monday will be the coolest, with a high downtown near 60. Temperatures will rise into the mid- and upper-60s by the end of the week.
