Meth, marijuana, guns recovered in Lancaster
Methamphetamine, assault rifles and 200 marijuana plants were among the illegal items confiscated in Lancaster during the first week of the New Year, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Search warrants served Friday morning at three Lancaster residences by members of the Sheriff’s Department’s narcotics units turned up “a substantial amount of methamphetamine, a loaded handgun and several other items of evidence,” officials said Friday.
At one location, a 4-month-old boy was taken into custody by the Department of Children and Family Services while his mother, 32-year-old Vivian Mora, was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment, authorities said. Authorities also arrested Otis Moore, 33, Mario Aguilar, 26, Jesse Garcia, 37, and 31-year-old Christopher Valadez, who were all charged with allegedly selling methamphetamine and possession of a loaded firearm. The five were booked at the Lancaster station.
