A 20-year-old man accused of breaking into actor Taye Diggs’ Studio City home was charged Tuesday with first-degree burglary, officials said.

Hassan Omar Juna of Hollywood was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon on the felony charge, the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office announced. If convicted, he faces up to six years in prison.

Diggs, who appears on TV’s ‘Private Practice,’ discovered the suspect in his garage Sunday night after returning from the Screen Actors Guild Awards, prosecutors said.

Los Angeles police Officer Alex Martinez said the alleged intruder was ‘looking for stuff to take’ when Diggs chased Juna from his home and detained the suspect until officers arrived.

No injuries were reported in the incident, police said.

Diggs isn’t the first celebrity to take down an intruder. In August, actor-rapper LL Cool J discovered a burglar at his Studio City kitchen and broke the man’s nose and jaw in what police sources described as a ‘knock-down, drag-out’ fight. LL Cool J was holding the suspect when authorities arrived.
