An hours-long lockdown at five San Diego schools Tuesday ended without any students being put in danger but with the murder suspect being sought by police still at large.

The lockdown was ordered at schools in the Tierrasanta neighborhood after police spotted Matthew Rowley, 22, of Corona, in the area. Rowley is a suspect in the Jan. 16 killing of 20-year-old Daniel Stordahl in Corona.

San Diego police and officers from a task force assembled in Orange County searched door to door for hours, assisted by police dogs and a helicopter.
