‘He saw some other gaps in the road, and that’s when he called it in,’ said Officer Bruce Borihanh of the Los Angeles Police Department said.

He said La Cienega was closed between Rodeo Road and Slauson Boulevard while crews from the Department of Public Works inspect the damage. It was unclear how long the closure would remain in effect.
