A 29-year-old Torrance ice-skating coach was charged with molesting a boy and may have molested other youths he coached across Southern California, authorities said Monday night.

Donald Vincent was arrested at his Torrance home Friday. He allegedly molested the boy in the case on repeated occasions in Hacienda Heights, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The alleged victim, now 17, told investigators that he was molested by his skating coach when he was between the ages of 12 and 15, according to the department. At the time, the coach lived in Hacienda Heights.

Vincent has been coaching young ice skaters for seven years at rinks in Harbor City, Artesia, Lakewood, Norwalk, Riverside, Paramount and Anaheim, authorities said in a statement.

The youth was encouraged to contact authorities after he told a friend about being abused, the department said. Anyone with information is asked to call authorities at (877) 710-5273.
