1 dead, 1 wounded in shooting outside of Hollywood nightclub

Two men were shot, one fatally, during a fight outside of a popular Hollywood nightclub.

Details were sketchy, but police said officers responded to a report of shots fired outside of the Empire Club on Cahuenga Boulevard. The suspect fled before police arrived.

A woman crossing the street was grazed by a bullet but did not require medical treatment, according to KTLA News.

Police said they were still trying to piece together exactly what happened.

"A fight inside the nightclub spilled outside,'' LAPD Sgt. Mark Ro told City News Service. "One man was dead at the scene and the other was walking and talking.''

The LAPD is asking anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the department.
