Gardena police shoot, wound one of two suspects

Los Angeles County sheriff's detectives are investigating a shooting by Gardena police early Sunday.

One wounded male suspect was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life threatening, according to the Sheriff's Department. A second suspect, also a man, was arrested. 

The shooting took place at 3:46 a.m. in the 800 block of 168th Street in Gardena.

No other details were available about the shooting.
