Earthquake: 3.6 quake strikes 139 miles from Las Vegas [Deleted: 1:49 a.m.]

A shallow magnitude 3.6 earthquake was reported Saturday morning 10 miles from Scottys Castle , according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 1:02 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 3.1 miles.


Update: Quake deleted

The USGS has deleted the earthquake mentioned above.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 13 miles from Tokop, Nev. , 23 miles from Sylvania, Nev. , 41 miles from Beatty, Nev., and 139 miles from Las Vegas.

In the past 10 days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
