Earthquake: 3.3 quake strikes near Indio [Deleted: 2:36 p.m.]

A shallow magnitude 3.3 earthquake was reported Saturday morning near Indio, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 1:59 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 1.9 mile.

The USGS has deleted the earthquake mentioned above.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 10 miles from Idyllwild ,16 miles from Palm Springs and 64 miles from San Diego.

In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
