Earthquake: 3.0 quake strikes near Loma Linda

A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Sunday morning two miles from Loma Linda, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 6:26 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 11.2 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was two miles from Colton, four miles from Highgrove, six miles from San Bernardino and 55 miles from Los Angeles Civic Center.

In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
