3 held in robbery, Cal State Fullerton lockdown are due in court

Three men arrested in connection with a robbery that led to the lockdown of Cal State Fullerton last month are due in court Thursday in Riverside County.

Five men were suspected of robbing a jewelry and pawn shop in Moreno Valley on Dec. 12 and shooting an employee in the process. The men fled in a dark Lexus, authorities said, sparking a pursuit that spanned four counties.

They stopped at Cal State Fullerton, where two men were captured. Two others fled on foot, prompting a seven-hour lockdown at the university.

Damine Banks, 30, Jerome Allen, 23, and Traevon Vidaud, 24, are now facing multiple charges, including attempted murder and robbery, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

A fourth suspect, Roosevelt Fernandez, 26, was arrested Dec. 26 and will be charged separately.

Police were still searching for a fifth person. Anyone with information is asked to call the Moreno Valley Police Department at (951) 486-6710.
