2-mile stretch of La Cienega shut down after road buckles
A two-mile stretch of northbound La Cienega Boulevard in the Baldwin Hills area was closed Tuesday night after the road began buckling.
The boulevard, a major north-south artery, was shut down between Slauson Avenue and Rodeo Road shortly after 9 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department said.
Officer Bruce Borihanh said patrol units at the scene had called for the Department of Public Works to inspect the damage. It was unclear what caused the road to buckle.
No other details were immediately available.
