Snow levels to plunge as Southland faces new storms

Officials warned of an "unsettled weather pattern" that will bring scattered showers, cold temperatures, fog and plummeting snow levels to the region.

The latest storm will bring rain through Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow levels will drop as low as 3,500 feet, officials said. The Grapevine could see some snowfall as well.

Clear, warmer temperatures are expected Wednesday and Thursday.

But then another storm is expected Friday.

While the storms are not expected to dump large amounts of rain, they could make driving in mountain areas hazardous, officials said.
