O.C. man gets prison for molesting boy outside restaurant

An Orange County man was convicted and sentenced Wednesday to three years in state prison for molesting an 8-year-old boy in the parking lot of a Santa Ana fast-food restaurant, prosecutors said.

Pedro Castillo-Sanchez, 35, pleaded guilty to one felony count of lewd acts with a child under 14, with a sentencing enhancement of substantial sexual conduct with a child, according to a statement from the Orange County district attorney’s office.

Prosecutors said that on the evening of March 19, Castillo-Sanchez drove the boy to a fast-food restaurant in Santa Ana and parked in the lot outside, where he molested the boy.

The boy told his mother about the incident when he returned home, prosecutors said.

She reported the incident to Santa Ana police, who arrested him that night.
