New storm will bring snow to Grapevine, rain, traffic concerns

Weather Story (click the image for a higher resolution image).

A new winter storm is expected to cause the snow level to drop to 4,000 feet, potentially causing traffic problems along the Grapevine.

The National Weather Service warned of hazarous driving conditions on Interstate 5 in the Tejon Pass and on mountain roads. Up to 2 inches of snow could be dumped in those areas though Sunday.

The Los Angeles basin will see a 70% chance of rain Saturday and Saturday night.

Conditions are expected to clear Sunday, with partly cloudy skies to start the week.
