A Minnesota man killed Thursday as he crossed a Santa Ana street has been identified by the Orange County coroner's office.

Andrew Pehrson, 23, of Eden Prairie, Minn., was struck by an SUV about 1:50 a.m. Thursday on MacArthur Boulevard near Main Street, coroner's officials said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said Pehrson was crossing the street with his brother at the time. The brother was not hurt, Bertagna said.

The woman driving the SUV stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators, Bertagna said. She has not been cited or arrested in connection with the incident.
