Crime alerts for Fairfax, Del Rey and 11 other L.A. neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 13 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Nine neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Fairfax (A) was the most unusual, recording six reports compared with a weekly average of 1.6 over the last three months.

Del Rey (J) topped the list of four neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 20 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 9.0 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for Dec. 10–Dec. 16, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
