Four people were found shot to death outside a house in Northridge, police said.

The victims were discovered face-down around 4:30 a.m. Sunday outside the large white home in the 17400 block of Devonshire Street, said LAPD Cmdr. Andrew Smith.

The LAPD’s robbery-homicide division will investigate the case; it was not immediately known if the victims were residents of the home or the motive for the slayings, Smith said.

The gender or age of the victims were not immediately known because the bodies were face-down and police did not want to move the bodies yet.

The home appears to be subdivided for use as a boarding house, but Smith stressed that the investigation was ongoing.
