Man’s body recovered from MacArthur Park lake

Authorities recovered the body of a man Tuesday in the MacArthur Park lake after a four-hour search.

Los Angeles Fire Department divers found the man, who was about 30, using sonar technology, authorities said.

A caller reported seeing an unidentified man swim into the lake shortly before 6:41 a.m. and not emerge, said Shawn Lenske, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The cause of death is under investigation.
