The body of a woman in her 20s who had gone diving off the coast of San Diego was spotted Saturday afternoon, and retrieval efforts, hampered by choppy seas, are scheduled to resume Sunday morning, officials said.

The woman was part of a group on a diving expedition Saturday to the sunken vessel Yukon about two miles from Mission Beach. When the woman did not surface, other divers alerted rescue personnel, officials said.

The Coast Guard and San Diego lifeguards and fire-rescue personnel searched for several hours before the body was spotted, officials said.
