‘Modern Family’ teen star Ariel Winter, who accused her mother of abusing her, will continue to live with her adult sister while her father temporarily handles her personal finances, according to an agreement hammered out Wednesday.

L.A. County Superior Court Judge Michael Levanas outlined the agreement giving Glenn Workman control of the 14-year-old actress’ finances while allowing her to live with Shanell Gray, her adult sister. The deal was struck shortly before a hearing on the matter was scheduled at a downtown L.A. courthouse.

On Oct. 3 the judge had temporarily stripped Ariel’s mother, Chrisoula Workman, of custody after Ariel claimed in court papers that her mother emotionally and physically abused her.

Chrisoula Workman has repeatedly denied the allegations and filed more than two dozen declarations from friends, acquaintances, stylists and others saying they never witnessed any abuse.

Ariel has since been in the care of Gray, who was removed from Chrisoula Workman’s care in the 1990s amid accusations of abuse.

The judge will hold a status conference March 29 and could at that time change the custody arrangement.

Ariel has been acting since age 7 and currently stars as Alex Dunphy on the hit ABC series “Modern Family.” Three days after Ariel took legal action to split from her mother, Chrisoula Workman reported to the sheriff’s Crescenta Valley station that her daughter’s 18-year-old boyfriend had unlawful sex with the underage actress.

Chrisoula Workman claimed she discovered Ariel in the guest bedroom of her Montrose home on Sept. 24 in bed with a young man, believed to be 18, according to sources not authorized to discuss the investigation.

The young man was described as the teenage actress’ boyfriend of several months, according to the sources. According to sources, the teenagers have denied doing anything unlawful.

Detectives have been unable to substantiate Ariel’s abuse allegations, but the investigation is continuing.
