Northbound 110 Freeway closed in South L.A.; police conduct search

The northbound 110 Freeway has been shut down Friday at Manchester Avenue in South Los Angeles as police investigate an undisclosed incident.

Video from news helicopters shows police conducting a search of some vehicles stopped on the freeway and handcuffing some persons of interest.

The closure is backing up traffic, and officials said they don't know when the freeway will reopen.

The searches are being conducted by the California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
