UC Santa Barbara student dies in apparent fall

A UC Santa Barbara student died in an apparent fall from a cliff in Isla Vista, near Santa Barbara.

KEY News reported that the young man whose body was found by joggers on the beach below Del Playa Drive on Friday morning was identified as 21-year-old David Propp.

A statement released by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office said his injuries were consistent with a fall.

KCOY 12 News reported that at least two other people have died in recent years after falling from cliffs in the area.
