Teen suspected of molesting 4-year-old at Burbank daycare center

November 6, 2012 |  6:55 pm

Burbank police have arrested the 14-year-old son of daycare operators on suspicion of sexually molesting a 4-year-old boy at the daycare center.

The teenager, who was not identified because he is a minor, was arrested Sunday after the alleged victim’s mother called police to lodge the complaint, according to the Burbank Leader.

An investigation determined that the male victim was at the daycare center in the 2100 block of Pepper Street when the alleged abuse occurred, police said Tuesday.

The teen is being held at Sylmar Juvenile Hall on suspicion of sexually abusing a minor, police said.

Parents of other children attending the daycare center have been notified of the allegations and are being interviewed, police said.

Attempts to reach the facility for comment were unsuccessful.

Investigators from the California Department of Social Services  are conducting a review of the facility while the police investigation is ongoing.
