Man held in El Segundo knife attack that injured 2

Nery K. Ramos

Police on Wednesday evening identified an 18-year-old man suspected of stabbing two co-workers after a dispute at an El Segundo business.

Nery K. Ramos allegedly slashed the two men Wednesday afternoon and ran from the business in the 100 block of Center Street, the El Segundo Police Department said.

The victims were taken to nearby hospitals, police said, and one of them had life-threatening injures.

The attack was reported about 12:45 p.m. after an argument broke out between Ramos and the men, according to police.

Police apprehended him without incident while he was walking by Imperial Highway and Aviation Boulevard. He was being held in lieu of $530,000 bail.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Eric Atkinson at (310) 524-2216.
