Soldier from Glendora killed in Afghanistan

A soldier from Glendora was killed during combat operations in Afghanistan, the Department of Defense announced Sunday night.

Kenneth Bennett, 26, died Saturday in Sperwan Gar from injuries due to an explosion of a buried bomb.

He was assigned to the 53rd Ordnance Company, 3rd Ordnance Battalion, from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.
