Small earthquake strikes in Santa Monica Bay

A small earthquake was reported Thursday morning in the Santa Monica Bay.

The 2.8 temblor struck at 6:03 a.m. about four miles from Manhattan Beach and about 12 miles from downtown Los Angeles.

There were no reports of damage.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the temblor was felt in Santa Monica, the South Bay, Los Angeles and Palos Verdes.
