Rush-hour traffic on the eastbound 118 Freeway was snarled Thursday afternoon near the southbound 5 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley after a multi-vehicle accident, authorities said.
The California Highway Patrol said one of the vehicles in the crash was a big rig that jack-knifed and ended up on the embankment.
Two people received injuries that were not life-treatening, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
Officers were at the scene investigating. No additional details were immediately available.
