Rain in L.A. brings a shower of complaints, jokes on Twitter

In case you haven't heard, it's raining in Los Angeles.

As steady showers slowed the morning commute and caused major backups on many area freeways, some Angelenos took a break from searching for their rain boots and umbrellas to tweet about the weather.

Dozens of people snapped pictures of the rain-slicked city, some of which are included below.

But if you haven't sent a rain tweet yet, you still have time: Forecasters said scattered showers should linger until Sunday as a series of storms passes through Southern California.
