Pot measures lose big in four San Diego County suburbs

FULL RESULTS: California races

Voters in four San Diego County cities rejected marijuana dispensary initiatives on Tuesday's ballot.

Measures to permit and regulate medical marijuana dispensaries were rejected in Del Mar, Solana Beach, Lemon Grove and Imperial Beach. The closest of the measures was in Del Mar, supported by 44% of voters.

Even if one of the measures had won, there is no indication that U.S. Atty. Laura Duffy would halt her effort to close such dispensaries as a violation of federal law.

In the city of San Diego, City Atty. Jan Goldsmith has joined Duffy in a campaign to close the dispensaries.
