Basketball coach arrested on suspicion of committing lewd acts with a child

A volunteer basketball coach at Perris High School has been arrested on suspicion of committing lewd acts with a child, Riverside County authorities said Tuesday. Dominic Leon Evans

Dominic Leon Evans, 49, coached boys and girls at the school, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said. 

He was arrested Monday after authorities served a search warrant at his Perris home. School officials were notified that Evans was in custody.

Evans was being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.
