Light rain headed to Southern California this weekend

Los Angeles residents would be wise to keep an umbrella close at hand for the next few days.

Meteorologists are forecasting a possibility of rain on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with temperatures expected to stick between 54 and 71 degrees throughout the weekend.

The National Weather Service said light rain is most likely Friday night and throughout the day Saturday, when there will be about a 30% chance of rain.

There will be a decreased chance of showers Sunday and Monday, but meteorologists expect the temperatures to be cold.

If you're hoping to head to the beach, hold off until Wednesday--which is forecast to be 70 degrees and sunny.
