A man found dead inside a Beverly Grove home is believed to be a homicide victim, Los Angeles police said Thursday.

Officers were called to the home in the 300 block of N. Laurel Avenue around 11 p.m. Wednesday after a caller reported hearing a scream coming from the location, said LAPD spokeswoman Wendy Reyes.

When they arrived, they found a trail of blood inside and the body of a man who was not immediately identified.

Police do not yet have a motive in the case, but they said they believe foul play was involved.
