Jobs and the economy drive voters to polls in Costa Mesa

The state of the nation's economy drove Orange County residents Randy Minor and Brandon Burgason to a polling place in Costa Mesa on Tuesday, where they said they voted for Mitt Romney.

"The current administration is really struggling to provide new jobs and fulfil the promises they had made," Minor said. "I think we need a true change and a change back to a more locally controlled government."

Burgason noted Romney's experience as a businessman "who knows how to create jobs."

The turnout in Orange County was strong enough that election officials in nearby Santa Ana needed to set up extra voting booths.
