Halle Berry's ex-boyfriend fought with her fiance in French

Halle
Academy Award winning actress Halle Berry’s ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry allegedly fought with her fiancee on Thanksgiving after dropping off the former couple’s daughter off at Berry’s Hollywood Hills home, law enforcement sources told TMZ.

Aubry was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery after police responded to a call for service that he had gotten into a fight with French actor Olivier Martinez, said Los Angeles Police Officer Julie Boyer. After being taken into custody, he was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was treated for injuries to his face.

Aubry was released Thursday evening after posting $20,000 bail.

According to TMZ, the confrontation happened in a large driveway of the actresses’ home, with Aubry allegedly shoving and then throwing a punch to the face of Martinez, who got struck in the shoulder instead. At one point, the website reported, Aubry pushed Martinez to the ground, and the latter “cold-cocked him in the face.”

The fight ended with Martinez “pinning Gabriel to the ground,” TMZ said, adding that Martinez broke a rib and had “contusions on his face.” Witnesses reportedly told the website that Martinez may have broken his hand.

“Police were called and Olivier made a citizen's arrest for battery against Gabriel. Gabriel was escorted to the emergency room, and Olivier went to the same ER an hour later,” TMZ reported. “The two were just down the hall from each other.”

The website said the exact nature of the argument between Aubry and Martinez was unclear “because they were trash talking each other in French.”
