Gloria Negrete McLeod wins Inland Empire congressional race
Challenger Gloria Negrete McLeod unseated Rep. Joe Baca in San Bernardino's 35th Congressional District, according to the California secretary of state.
Baca, who had served seven terms in the House of Representatives and was the only Democrat in Congress from the Inland Empire, was seen as the favorite.

But Negrete McLeod, a state senator from Chino, received a boost when a "super PAC" founded by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg spent more than $3 million on her behalf.
The super PAC targeted Baca because Bloomberg believes he is weak on gun control laws, a cause important to the mayor. Negrete McLeod is also a Democrat.
The district includes Chino, Ontario and parts of Fontana.
