Four 14-year-olds arrested in more than 400 acts of vandalism

Four teenage boys suspected of committing more than 400 acts of vandalism in Lancaster were arrested Thursday after a monthlong investigation, authorities said.

The boys, all 14 years old, were allegedly members of the same tagging crew, according to a statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lancaster Station.

They primarily targeted city property as well as Gifford C. Cole Middle School and Eastside High School and caused an estimated $200,000 in property damage, authorities said.

The boys, whose names were withheld because they are minors, are being charged with felony vandalism, sheriff’s officials said.
