Extensive damage to police helicopters that collided; 6 hurt
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the collision of two Pasadena police helicopters Saturday.
The crash at the Pasadena police heliport Saturday afternoon occurred when the rotor blades of two aircraft touched.
Five police officers and one civilian suffered minor injuries. All six were taken to hospitals.
Both of the helicopters were extensively damaged.
The two helicopters were on duty, one on routine patrol and the other monitoring the USC-UCLA football game activity at the Rose Bowl.
